My name is Dave Fritz. I am contacting fellow rock hounds to offer some incredibly beautiful material to those who do lapidary work. Would you please circulate this information to the members in your mineral club. I am attaching 2 flyers with pictures. Thank you so very much for your consideration and happy rock hunting.
Amethystine
Quartz / Agate
FOR Sale- High Quality
Amethystine Quartz-Silver Ore from the silver mines of
Creede, Colorado.
Better known as Amethystine Agate or Sow
Belly Agate. This wonderful and colorful material was
collected back in the 1950’s and 60’s from various silver
mines in the Creede area. I have
plentiful quantities of both, Amethystine Quartz in massive
form and Amethystine Agate which consists of a layer of
Amethystine Quartz followed by and delicate banded layer of
white and/or bluish agate sometimes followed by another
layer of Amethystine Quartz. Occasional
Sphalerite and Galina
crystals/cubes occur within the agate. Each piece has its
own unique pattern and beauty. Sizes range from fist size,
2-4 inches, weighing 1-3 pounds each, to 6-8 inches,
weighing 8-12 pounds each, to large rocks 10 to 16 inches in
size, weighing 16 to 60 pounds. I am asking $4 USD per
pound. Pictures are available upon request.
Rhodinite
FOR SALE- Top Quality Rhodinite-Gold
Ore from the Sunnyside Mine in Silverton, Colorado.
Collected in the 1980’s before the area
was reclamated. This material is vivid pink in color.
Some pieces have ingrained areas of White Quartz and other
Sulfide Minerals and occasional Gold. I have plentiful
quantities in sizes ranging from 3-4 inches, weighing 2-5
pounds each, to 6-10 inches, weighing 10-20 pounds each, a
few 12-14 inches at 20 to 40 pounds, and one large boulder
measuring 24x24x12 inches that I estimate weighs 400 to 600
pounds. I am asking $4 USD per pound. Pictures are available
upon request.
