April 23, 2006.....Delaware Mineralogical Society........Ramanessian Brook, Holmdel, NJ.........Collect Cretaceous aged fossils including mosasaur, fish and shark teeth by sifting the gravels in the stream.  Need screen and shovel and waders or be prepared to get wet. !        APRIL 29 and 30, 2006.........Wakeup Call for Trotter Diggg 2006...........There's a dig at the Buckwheat dump Friday, Trotter Saturday and Sterling Hill Sunday. Always a fun time. Trotter has produced close to 90 different minerals. They are most noted for fluorescent but that only scratches the surface. This message is just to let you know things are ON ...  registration is open and we already have 33 digggers registered.   :)   If you have not yet registered, please do so as soon as you can -- just like last year, we need at least 100 registered digggers in order for the event to occur ... that just covers the costs of preparing the site (excavating new areas, etc.) and running the show.  More info soon go to E.F.T.A.'S Home page and click on Trotter Dump.................  it's that easy

MAY 6, 2009........Dolomite Products Quarry, Penfield , New York......... is having an Open House Dig on Saturday May 6, 2006 from 7 A.M. to Noon. Digging will commence at 7:00 A.M.  Late arrivals will still be allowed in. The Quarry will expect everyone to leave at Noon. Hard hats and safety glasses are mandatory.
The Quarry is located on Whalen Drive in Penfield , New York south of the Browncroft/Atlantic Avenue (Route 286) intersection. Take 390 to 590 North to Browncroft Rd. exit. Right (east) on Browncroft which will turn into Atlantic, then right onto Whalen. The Quarry entrance is on the left, just past the golf course on the right.
